Whether it is in agricultural trade, building materials trade or the energy industry: the group is one of the leading companies in Europe. In the wood pellets industry, BayWa AG is the market leader in Southern Germany with its Südpellets brand. How does the group design the wood pellets supplier website? How can modern content commerce for wood fuels be successful? Our new success story provides insights into the project.

CMS Channel for the BayWa Brand Südpellets

BayWa AG implements solutions and projects for its customers in the energy, agricultural and construction industries – for both B2C and B2B customers alike. As a pioneer of digitalisation, internal processes such as e-procurement have also been digitalised. Across almost the entire group, BayWa AG used a CMS from the British software company Bloomreach. However, Bloomreach Experience Manager was not yet in use on www.suedpellets.de.

The tradition-steeped company and dotSource have been working together for many years, which is why dotSource also took on the digital project for Südpellets. It was about the migration from TYPO3 to Bloomreach Experience Manager – and thus building an innovative CMS channel with commerce features – so that Südpellets customers would also be able to order their supply of wood pellets, including delivery, online.

CMS for Modern Content Commerce

One thing is clear: no modern corporate strategy can succeed without content. It is not enough to just offer one product. For an ideal customer journey, products must also be contextualised, enriched with valuable information and showcased properly to create a compelling visual experience.
