MEVACO is the leading supplier of expanded metals, perforated sheets as well as crimped and welded meshes in Europe. Customers who see MEVACO as a reliable partner for the design of railings, fences, gates, façades and much more have appreciated its online shop for years.

In a professional system selection process, an evaluation was carried out to determine which e-commerce system best met MEVACO’s requirements and objectives. In the end, the decision was made in favour of Salesforce B2B Commerce, as a customer relationship management solution and a marketing automation tool from Salesforce were already established in MEVACO’s system landscape.

After MEVACO had already successfully completed the CRM project and the marketing automation project together with dotSource, the metal manufacturer decided to once again partner up with the digital agency for the implementation of the demanding e-commerce project.

The migration of the existing online shop to Salesforce B2B Commerce proved to be a challenge. In summer 2022, however, the desired result was achieved: MEVACO customers now benefit from an extremely pleasant customer journey and fast performance, with MEVACO itself having an online shop that can keep pace with the company’s growth.

In addition, the existing configurator was integrated into the front end as a unique online shop feature. Another facet of the multi-stream project was the implementation of an integration platform to ensure seamless data exchange between all systems and interfaces.

With the help of this modern system landscape, MEVACO is able to provide its customers with a cutting-edge digital experience and, above all, to process their highly customised orders quickly and to a high standard of quality. After all, no two batches of perforated, milled metal plates, which ultimately provide unique modern architectural accents to the interior and exterior of a wide variety of buildings, are alike.
